The Kaleido series tiles belong to the stone effect porcelain stoneware. Kaleido brown has a smooth to the touch, slightly shiny surface.

    Intended use

This tile is perfect for the living area, a study or an office. It is very easy to clean: for the lapped surface I recommend using a neutral detergent, not too aggressive to avoid ruining the lapping.

    Laying advice

You can lay this tile with a minimum joint of 2 mm as it is rectified.

For a modern, non-static effect, we recommend laying staggered at 1/4.

If you want to have a "tidy" floor, I recommend having the tiles laid giving the same direction to their veins. If the tiles are laid without studying the direction of the veins, the result will be an untidy floor.

    Thickness

The 59.5x59.5 and 22.5x90 formats are 10 mm thick, while the 45.5x45.5 format is 9 mm thick.

    What is lapped porcelain stoneware?

The lapped surface of a tile is different from the natural surface. You notice this immediately with the naked eye because the lapped surface is shinier than the natural surface, which is more opaque. If you touch a lapped surface you will also feel that it is smoother than the natural one.

So how do you get a lapped surface? Once the tile is manufactured, it undergoes polishing to make the surface smoother and softer. Be careful, however, not to confuse a lapped surface with a polished surface: lapping does not make the tile perfectly shiny with a mirror effect, it only makes it smoother and shinier.
